SRH win: KKR knocked out
Sunrisers Hyderabad have taken a step closer to the final! KKR's lack of big partnerships in a tough chase has led to their downfall. Another fantastic outing for the Sunrisers bowlers as Bhuvneshwar Kumar picked up three wickets while Moises Henriques bagged two key scalps in the middle overs. Suryakumar Yadav and Manish Pandey's partnership threatening to snatch the game away from Sunrisers but it wasn't to be as they won by 22 runs. They now face Gujarat Lions on Friday (May 27).
Suryakumar goes:
Superbly taken by Shikhar Dhawan! Suryakumar took the aerial route against Henriques but a forward-running Dhawan latched onto the ball even as he tumbled over. A massive wicket in the context of the game. KKR 115 for 5, need 48 runs off 25 balls.
Pandey, Suryakumar keep KKR alive:
Suryakumar Yadav and Manish Pandey have kept KKR alive here. They've added 41 runs off 23 balls for the fourth wicket. KKR need 53 off 30 balls.
Failure for Yusuf Pathan:
Moises Henriques has dismissed the in-form KKR man. Pathan has been in immaculate form recently but his big flick shot is exceptionally taken by Bhuvneshwar at deep mid-wicket. KKR 69 for 4 in 10.5 overs
Cutting removes Gambhir:
What a big, big, big wicket! Ben Cutting has dismissed Gambhir! A fine catch from Vijay Shankar, the substitute fielder, at long on ends KKR skipper's stay at the wicket, leaving his side in a spot of bother here. KKR 63 for 3 in 9.1 overs
Run out: Colin Munro goes
That wicket has come a little against the run of play here. Munro and Gambhir were going well in building a big partnership. A flourishing 38-run stand was brought to an end, however, by a direct hit from Yuvraj Singh that caught Munro short of his crease. SRH 53 for 2 in 7 overs.
Sran strikes: Uthappa departs
Oh that wasn't the best ball to claim a wicket but Sran will celebrate it. Length ball wide outside the off-stump which Uthappa went after, but didn't keep it along the ground. Henriques, at short cover, latched onto it. KKR 15 for 1 in 1.5 overs.
Innings update: SRH 162 for 8
Bipul Sharma's last-over heroics, smashing two sixes off Morne Morkel in a 14-run final over, helped Sunrisers Hyderabad post a par total. Yuvraj Singh's 30-ball 44 was extremely vital for his side as they kept losing wickets regularly. The southpaw reckons the wicket isn't easy to bat on and that 160 is a good enough total. Will KKR prove him wrong? Or can SRH take a step towards their maiden IPL final? An intriguing chase awaits...
WICKET: Yuvraj goes for 44
Jason Holder uproots the middle stump! Yuvraj Singh shuffled across and tried to lap the ball over third man but missed what was a straight delivery that crashed onto the middle stick. Yuvraj departs for a crucial 30-ball 44. SRH 145 for 6 in 18.3 overs
Three for Yadav:
Kuldeep is on song here. He sends back Ben Cutting for a first-ball duck right after the time out. SRH are sliding here and need Yuvraj to stay on and finish well. SRH 124 for 5 in 16.1 overs.
Run out: Deepak Hooda is gone
Oh what a shame! Yuvraj Singh and Deepak Hooda had plotted an excellent recovery with a 49-run stand for the fourth wicket and were set for a strong finish, before the latter was run out in a terrible mix up. Understandably, Yuvraj is miffed with his batting partner. Hooda falls for 21, SRH 120 for 4 in 15.5 overs as the strategic time-out is taken.
Kuldeep Yadav dents SRH:
The young tweaker has not just broken the 59-run stand but has dismissed both the set batsmen in two deliveries. Henriques and Warner have departed and SRH are down to 71 for 3 in 9.5 overs.
Warner takes on Narine: SRH for 1 in 6 overs
Sunil Narine's not had the best start to his spell. Warner has gone after him, collecting two fours in his first over. Sunrisers Hyderabad finish powerplay on 43 for 1.
Teriffic Pathan:
Yusuf Pathan has responded well to his captain's call. He started the proceedings with the ball and has bowled three stingy overs - conceding only one boundary - a six off the final ball of his third over to Moises Henriques. SRH 31 for 1 in 5 overs
Moises at No. 3:
Moises Henriques has walked out at No. 3, instead of Naman Ojha. Might be a good move, given that Ojha had struggled in the previous game and added to the pressure on the side. Henriques, who has made his way back to the Australia Test squad after three years, spoke to cricaction earlier, about his stint with the Sunrisers, his international career and a lot more.
WICKET: Morkel has the last laugh
Shikhar Dhawan is gone! Morne Morkel disturbed Dhawan's stumps with a straight delivery, after being hit for two successive boundaries by the Sunrisers opener. SRH 12 for 1 in 2 overs

Toss: KKR opt to bowl

The BIG news is that Andre Russell is still not fit. Sunrisers Hyderabad have made two changes, with Bipul Sharma and Ben Cutting coming in.

KKR: Robin Uthappa(w), Gautam Gambhir(c), Colin Munro, Manish Pandey, Yusuf Pathan, Suryakumar Yadav, Jason Holder, Rajagopal Sathish, Sunil Narine, Kuldeep Yadav, Morne Morkel
SRH: Shikhar Dhawan, David Warner(c), Naman Ojha(w), Yuvraj Singh, Moises Henriques, Deepak Hooda, Ben Cutting, Bipul Sharma, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Barinder Sran, Mustafizur Rahman
Build-up: KKR start as favourites
After AB de Villiers's jail-breaking effort powered Royal Challengers Bangalore to their third IPL final, the action shifts to the national capital where the two-time champions Kolkata Knight Riders will take on Sunrisers Hyderabad in the eliminator clash.
